This season, LG Fashion Week was eye-catchingly stylish. The use of colour and texture and runway use was spectacular!
I was a volunteer this year for LG so I got the pleasure of watching all the shows. It was great, although my feet were in brutality by the end of the night from standing for so long. My voice is practically gone from socializing with the clients and starvation played a big factor at the event. However, the Kellog’s bar did serve a useful snack!
Attitude by Jay Manuel
Jay Manuel’s collection, Attitude, did exceptionally well considering his fall line at Sears wasn’t that impressing.
But, he really brought his all to his spring/summer collection. His runway show went back and forth between a really bright outfit to nude/creamy colours. It was easy to distinguish between the spring and summer clothing.
What was most fascinating was that he did not repeat his models. If I remember correctly, Vawk did the same thing last night.
How do I even begin to describe Holt Renfrew’s collection. Other than the fact that it was beautifully choreographed on the runway. The colours, the styling, everything was just amazing.
Last night’s Vawk show was just lovely. The styling, the colours and the fact that they used one elderly model and one plus size model was nice to see. Makes you feel like okay, I can wear these clothes.
Today is the last day of Fashion Week, but it was a great experience and I cannot wait for next season.
Thinking of getting a media pass for that one instead of working. It would be fun to cover!
