So what if summer 2012 is just beginning. The fashion industry is always one year ahead of us! Oscar de la Renta’s 2013 New York resort show was ladylike, with some surprising modern accents: neon hair with lady-like flair. Pulled back hair in a loose chignon and streaked with bright colours, from blue to pink, was edgy and unexpected.

Pretty frocks and massive chandelier earrings sashayed down the runway. From monochromatic looks to a bountiful colour palette.

The show featured a huge array of textures. From sequinned dresses to silk shirts, tweed jackets, lace ruffles, and voluminous tulle skirts.

The one thing I love about this collection is that it’s very ready-to-wear. Simple dresses and sophisticated separates are perfect for summer time. Too bad we’ll have to wait another year to sport these looks.
