All you need to know about Troian Bellisario is this: she knows her fashion. Her unique yet simple style always stands out on the red carpet. This ‘pretty little liar’ is often best dressed and really adds an extra touch to her look by her impeccable accessorizing skills. Put her in anything made of chiffon and she’s good to go!

It’s happening. A legacy is being changed.
We all knew this day was coming when new creative director of Yves Saint Laurent announced the change in the brand’s name to Saint Laurent Paris. Change can be good sometimes however, you do not mess with a legacy. YSL has been one of my favourite brands of all times and now that the name has been changed, that appeal is wearing off.
This morning, I was woke up to a picture of this:

A box. Which means, fall is closer than you think!
Re-naming of a brand should be illegal unless the original creator decides to do so.
I may be over reacting a little but, what are your thoughts on this?

Hey guys!
Just wanted to say that I won’t be posting much in the next two weeks. Got an essay to write, an exam to study for and a shit load of readings to catch up on. Not to mention my work schedule is crazy hectic. I have no days to myself. But I like it that way. Workaholic much?

Elie Saab is the king of heavily embellished red carpet glamour. He has a gift for covering a gown with the most dramatic detailing without it looking cheap and trashy. For Autumn/Winter 2012, his couture collection was a celebration of all colours he does so well; black, all shades of peach, gold and nude, a few flashes of teal and eggshell.
Interestingly enough, the designer concentrated on long-sleeved gowns with high necks, sheer panels and long, full skirts. The result is sophisticated but modest (in a good way).

Silhouettes re-weaved their way through the 5 private salons at the the Christian Dior haute couture autumn/winter 2012 show today at Paris Haute Couture Week. Flowers, one of Christian Dior’s obsessions, was the central point of the set.
The collection, designed by Raf Simons, consisted of fur, confetti, and velvet. Here are some of the looks:
A “Dior Red” cashmere “Bar” coat with a Dior basque on the hips.
An electric blue astrakhan fur bustier cocktail dress.
Black tulle bustier evening dress with blue velvet embroidered.
The classic Dior tweed re-worked by Simons in a grey Prince of Wales checked wool jacket and skirt.
This white organza dress, inspired by the original Miss Dior dress, is embroidered with “Pointillists” degrade chiffon.
Hundreds of tiny confetti are embroidered to reproduce the flowers of Miss Dior.
A long organza and tulle dress with ‘futuristic’ pink embroidered front and blue floral embroidered back.

It’s retro-chic gorgeous especially paired with Blake’s Veronica Lake waves. This is how you do a red carpet without a stylist.
