Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu showed his spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection at London Fashion Week today. His outer space inspired designs were “eyeball heaven” – tweeted fashion icon Alexa Chung.

“I was thinking about a woman from another planet coming down to earth,” Erdem told Vogue. 

The day-glo embroidery on organza silk dresses woven with neon orange, baby blue, and yellow petals was like stepping into a box of candy. The hide-and-seek play on the body gave subtle tension and was finished with a ruffled collar or bejewelled neck. His futurist techniques made the models look like heavenly creatures.
