Taylor Swift is all grown up! She looked gorgeous in this long sleeved Zuhair Murad mini featuring a seriously sexy back and gold detailing at the American Music Awards last night! Not only did she opt out of her signature shimmering, strapless gowns – which we all love on her – but she also ditched her red lipstick for a nude hue and smokey eyes.

Usually when you see a model on the runway with bright hair colours, you automatically assume it must have something to do with the collection. Well, this is not the case for up and coming model Chloe Norgaard.
Chloe is naturally a brunette but has been bleaching her hair “forever.” And yes, she dyes her hair herself with the help of a few friends of course.
Here she is walking the Nicole Miller spring 2013 runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. Her neon rainbow hair really matches the electro-digital named collection. She also opened for Marimekko where her hair complimented the bouncy prints.
Now I can see why she was such a head-turner this season. Could this be the new hair trend? Would you ever bleach your hair to look like that?

Bright hues have proven to be a huge hair colour trend this year. But it’s not something anyone can master overnight. Picking the perfect colour for you can be tricky and risky.
Many celebrities have hit the red carpet in streaks, bright dye, washes of pastels and dip-dye. Here are some inspiring looks.

Personally, the only colour I would dare to dye is purple. But even then, more of an eggplant colour. Bright hues are a tough look to pull off.

Anne Hathaway has gone through many transformations over the years. From the bushy haired girl in the Princess Diaries to the White Queen in Alice in Wonderland. All wonderful looks for her of course. But this one has become one of my favourites! Anne showed up at Stella McCartney’s spring 2012 presentation dinner yesterday in an all white attire sporting her new pixie haircut she embraced for her current role in Les Miserables. It’s chic and fun, and it compliments her bone structure. It’s a tough look to pull off but Anne does it gracefully.

So what if summer 2012 is just beginning. The fashion industry is always one year ahead of us! Oscar de la Renta’s 2013 New York resort show was ladylike, with some surprising modern accents: neon hair with lady-like flair. Pulled back hair in a loose chignon and streaked with bright colours, from blue to pink, was edgy and unexpected.
Pretty frocks and massive chandelier earrings sashayed down the runway. From monochromatic looks to a bountiful colour palette.
The show featured a huge array of textures. From sequinned dresses to silk shirts, tweed jackets, lace ruffles, and voluminous tulle skirts.
The one thing I love about this collection is that it’s very ready-to-wear. Simple dresses and sophisticated separates are perfect for summer time. Too bad we’ll have to wait another year to sport these looks.

For the first time in history, the red carpet at this year’s ‘Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations’ Costume Institute Gala at the Met was broadcasted live online. The event was hosted by fashion model Elettra Wiedemann and Vogue’s William Norwich.
Celebrities sashayed up the red carpeted stairs, decked out in the latest high fashion gowns and tuxedos.

Black cherry lips seemed to be the beauty trend at this year’s Met Gala! And so was silver and gold. Indie pop singer Lana Del Rey looks “a little bit dark, a little bit glamorous” in this Joseph Altuzarra dress. And that cape she’s wearing, apparently it’s her favourite!
Rooney Mara
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sticks to her signature dark colours and looks stunning in this Givenchy dress, combined with a rare mix of leather and lace.
January Jones
Actress January Jones’ bright yellow Versace dress is daring, but man is she working it! The silhouette skirt and corset top with peek-a-boo black is just ravishing on her.
Coco Rocha
Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha is wearing vintage Givenchy, which was once worn by ex-Elizabeth Arden. The pink and yellow combination is just darling on her.
Emma Stone
Three thousand plastic flowers embodied on to Emma Stone’s Lanvin dress. Doesn’t she look like a flower girl? A super cute look for the season.
Kristin Wiig
A very pretty Kristin Wiig arrives in a gorgeous Stella McCartney frock. Her simple looks will never get old.
Florence Welch
Florence Welch twists and twirls on the red carpet in her Alexander McQueen dress. If there’s someone other than Lady Gaga who can pull off the late designers collection, it’s Florence.
Worst dressed? Duh!
Sarah Jessica Parker
This floral Valentino dress is a train-wreck! And Sarah, why would you wear shoes of the same print? Has Sex and the City taught you nothing? Awful, awful, awful!
Sofia Vergara
Sofia Vergara is stunning, funny and her accent is just the greatest. But despite being a great person, that won’t make up for you on the red carpet. This Marchesa gown makes her look like a present. The colour is gorgeous but the dress itself; it’s a disaster!
Rihanna
Rihanna covered head to toe? This is a surprise. Not loving this Tom Ford dress on her. Rihanna’s red carpet choices are usually risky but tasteful. This is just awful.

Beyonce
Beyonce! And she arrived in this crazy sheer Givenchy Haute Couture gown. Definitely worth the wait!

See that theatrical masked ring? Bought it at this Korean vintage boutique on Queen West. I can’t remember the name of it though. Officially my new favourite place for accessories!
I also chopped off my hair. Why? Because I was annoyed.

When you think Taylor Swift, you think a tall, curly, blonde hair-pop country singer. Well, that has changed.
After the completion of her Speak Now world tour, Swift changed her look drastically. For most, straight hair isn’t that big of a change but for this Nashville beauty, it definitely was jaw dropping.
At first, I hated it. It just looked awkward and so not her. My views have now changed a bit after I saw Taylor’s look at the Lorax premiere. The hair is starting to fit now.
As much as I like this new look, her curly locks will always be my favourite!

I always have such a hard time curling my hair. I have bought dozens of curling irons and they just don’t work. That’s probably because I refuse to use hairspray. I hate when my hair gets all sticky and then the curls aren’t soft anymore.
My sister bought the Le Angelique Celebrite Series curling iron from Winners last month and I am in love. I can finally get the curls that I want.
And best of all…no hairspray! I sound like an infomercial, I know. But I’m just so happy with it!
So if you’re looking for a curling iron that actually works, I would definitely recommend this one. And I’ve also heard good things about Amika. I have their straightener and it’s to die for so their curling iron should be just as good.
